Hey Reader,

With the days getting longer and the weather getting brighter, it's felt a bit like coming out of hibernation.

Last month I shared my struggle with producing content for the blog, so I'm incredibly thankful that this month I was able to meet my goals! Two blog posts were released, and I'm already working on the first for April.

How was your March overall? Does your productivity go through predictable patterns throughout the year, or have you found a path to consistency?

With a new month around the corner, I'm hopeful that the following content will give you an additional boost of momentum:

Does ChatGPT Know Minimalism Better Than Me?

Many of my blog post ideas come from casual conversations with friends/coworkers - this being a prime example.

Despite seeing the wave of news articles about ChatGPT, I hadn't tried it for myself, until my boss mentioned how cool it was.

Just like that, I made an account and tested ChatGPT on its knowledge about minimalism. And just like me, I judged the shit out of it.πŸ˜‚

Board Games Aren't Great For The Environment

Despite making a more conscious effort to live in a Sustainable(ish) way, books and board games have been an ongoing kryptonite for me. To be fair, I haven't purchased a new tabletop game in quite some time, and the majority of the new books I read are on Kindle, but there's no denying how enticing a fresh, well-designed board game can be.

What's interesting is that (before this article) environmental factors never crossed my mind when it came to the hobby.

Thankfully, adopting a mindset that prioritizes sustainable/ethical production doesn't mean board games need to be a thing of the past. It just means that production can and should change to account for our world and others.

Musings on Slow Life

This is both a showcase of Kinopio, as a useful brainstorming tool, as well as an inspiring piece of content about the slow life.

Consider taking ten minutes out of your day, listening to the recommended music, and diving into this commentary on a different way of doing life.

Jerks at Work: Toxic Coworkers and What to Do About Them - Tessa West

We've all experienced, or been (if we're self-aware enough), a toxic coworker.

The question isn't if we'll encounter a jerk at work but how we should handle them.

Yelling at the top of your lungs and flipping them the double bird might be cathartic, but given that most of us want to maintain a decent reputation, finding a professional solution is key.

Tessa not only dives into the types of jerks you'll encounter at work, but the ways in which you can handle each one. Whether you're currently dealing with a shitty coworker or not, this is a worthwhile book to check out.

You made it!

...through this newsletter, at least.πŸ˜…

Did you find any of this month's content particularly interesting or inspirational? If so, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I'm always looking to curate the newsletter to provide additional value, so any feedback is welcome.

With that in mind, I hope you have a killer, productive April, and I'll see you again in a month!

Cheers,

James
